Located in the industrial side of Marrickville being 5 minutes walking distance from Sydenham train station and 10 minutes driving from Sydney's most eclectic and bohemian suburb, Newtown, Muso Lab is a very convenient choice for musicians and artists in general to call home. Not a surprise that bands, music producers and creative minds in general have chosen Muso Lab as their base for the last 3 years.

Why we do this
Sharing our story
Muso Lab started in March 2019 when Dee Martin, our Founder decided that was time to build a place where music could be done with passion. She then discovered a space suitable space in the heavy industrial-side of Marrickville, 10-minute away driving from the heart of Sydney's cultural hub, Newtown. Muso Lab was essentially fit-out by Dee's and JuNiAo's hands. All deco, colours and art found at Muso Lab was from their own heads.
Muso Lab has also a huge apetite to help the community, opening the space for non-for-profit events, and organisations, in an humble attempt to give back to give something back for the music industry and artists who are often looked down by the big corps in showbiz.
You will notice that in on your way to the upstairs floor at Muso Lab, there is around 100-ish vinil records on the wall, which were hanged by Dee and JuNiAo, one-by-one. Don't worry, we didn't screwed any collector's piece in the process.
Diogo joined the team as Dee's business partner in March 2022, after a financial hardship that almost made us close doors due to the Covid lockdowns, but Muso Lab is now slowly back on track, and hosting the best jams with the coolest and funkiest artist in town.

Dee founded Muso Lab in 2019 by herself. She's a talented performing artist, with over 20 years in the industry as a DJ, events & artist management, guitarist, music producer and music teacher. Dee is also the Creative Director at Muso Lab and sound engineer helping artists to leverage the best of their talent and creativity.
Diogo Souza
Managing Partner
Joining Muso Lab in 2022, Diogo is a music passionate who oversees and manages the operations for Musolab.
Leading and supporting the studio, Diogo combines his extensive track record in business management with his own experience as a musician circa 90's, understanding what an artist wants when jamming in a studio.
