This course is designed to help students of any background grasp the fundamentals of mixing, from compression and EQ to distortion and reverb. Mixing 101 is a must for anybody who wants to delve into mixing but is unsure how to start/improve. Any and all genres are applicable, and if time permits, the instructor may be able to demonstrate the application of the subjects learnt by mixing a student’s previously recorded track.
This course is delivered in the form of intensive lectures with opportunities for students to query the instructor directly. By the end of the course, students should feel equipped to mix tracks of any genre to a basic level.
